TrueOS is seeking the courage to add the Brave browser as their primary internet browser of choice according to this tweet. A source close to the TrueOS project had this to say: “The TrueOS project has experimented in the past with setting sane defaults with Qupzilla and Firefox, but the fit never seemed right. After seeing what the Brave guys are doing we are thrilled at the opportunity.” Although this is exciting news it’s no easy feat to get Brave on a FreeBSD based operating system like TrueOS. Currently, there is no official support for FreeBSD, but because of the Linux compatibility layer in use in TrueOS this becomes a real possibility.
